16W21 - Experimental Exhibition Space, 2010

Crossing Art and 16W21 partnered in 2010 to create a series of ongoing experimental exhibitions held in the lavish residential apartments designed by renowned architect Morris Adjmi and fashion designer Zac Posen. The first exhibition in the series, circus, featured photographs by Maleonn, who has been  heralded by critics as one of the most exciting new photographers of his generation. This solo exhibition included works from the photographic series’ My Circus, Unforgivable Children, Days on the Cotton Candy and Postman. Maleonn’s pieces are based on themes concerning his childhood, dreams and identity.

16W21 is a luxury boutique residence located in the Flatiron District. This 14 story building features eleven units, including a garden duplex and triplex penthouse. Morris Adjmi who is known for his ability to create architecture composed of clear contemporary forms inspired by context and history, worked with designer Zac Posen who outfitted the building with fixtures, trims and furnishing. 16W21 boutique two bedroom full-floor simplexes, lavish three bedroom duplexes and an extravagant penthouse four bedroom triplex residence, all in one of the most exciting and unique buildings in Manhattan.
