Susan Klein

CV

Susan Klein makes work that employs a 4-dimensional quality, always a sense that we are witnessing a kinetic event as it occurs in relation to time passing. Klein’s work is a response to sensory experience in the world that uses both historical references and the tactile process of making to create a symbolic language. The functional and the decorative, architecture and popular design influence her work. The soft and abstract forms of her work are ones that connect the vernacular to the formal.

Susan Klein's work has been exhibited across the country in locations such as Trestle Gallery (Brooklyn), Tapir Gallery (Berlin), Road Gallery (New York), and The Southern (Charleston).
